This is a specialist medical dermatology practice. Common disorders that might be seen in this practice include skin cancers, acne, psoriasis and eczema.

Dr Chen is an Australian-trained dermatologist, and a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He is male and conducts consultations only in English.

He does not manage female genital dermatoses, and does not do cosmetic procedures (e.g. lasers, fillers and Botox) or ‘allergy tests’.

APPOINTMENTS

We encourage patients to note down their appointment details at the time of booking, as appointments will not be confirmed by SMS or email. Patients are usually called about a week before the appointment to confirm details. Patients who confirm an appointment but do not subsequently attend may not be able to make future appointments.

If patients are unable to make their appointment, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we may offer the appointment to another patient.

If patients are experiencing flu-like symptoms, we ask that you not attend and contact us as soon as possible to reschedule the appointment.

PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT

It is recommended when attending for a consultation that you are familiar with your medical history. For example, your allergies, your medications, and any treatments you have tried.

If you are attending for a ‘skin check’, we ask that you not have any make-up, even if you do not think you have any suspicious spots on your face.

CONSULTATIONS

Consultations are for the referred patient only. Dr Chen is unable to consult on family members and/or friends who attend the appointment with the patient.

Following the consultation, a letter is usually sent to the referrer, and sometimes, any other relevant health professional involved in your care, about the consultation. If you do not wish this to happen, please let Dr Chen know at the time of the consultation.

Consultation fees are to be paid in full at the end of the consultation. Accepted payment methods include cash, Visa and Mastercard. We do not accept American Express.
